1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Vitas Health website and services. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. About Vitas Health

Vitas Health is a digital healthcare platform that facilitates access to remote medical consultations delivered through partner healthcare institutions. Vitas Health does not directly provide medical treatment or emergency medical services.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have appropriate consent to use the platform. By using the services, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

4. Nature of Medical Services

  •  Medical consultations are delivered remotely by healthcare professionals affiliated with partner healthcare institutions.
  • Consultations are intended to provide professional medical guidance based on the information shared by the patient during the consultation.
  • Remote consultations have inherent limitations and may not be suitable for all medical concerns.
  • Healthcare providers may recommend further investigations, diagnostic tests, or in person care where clinically appropriate.
  • Vitas Health does not replace in-person medical care and does not provide emergency medical services.

5. Communication with Healthcare Providers

Communication relating to bookings and appointments prior to a consultation is managed through the Vitas Health platform. Healthcare providers may contact patients directly where necessary in connection with their care, typically following a consultation or where the patient has provided consent.

6. Booking & Payments

  • Consultations are booked through the Vitas Health platform
  • Payment is required to submit a consultation request
  • Pricing is displayed clearly before payment is made

7. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Consultation requests may be cancelled by the patient at any time prior to approval by the healthcare provider.
  • Where a consultation is cancelled by the patient before approval, a refund will be issued. Please note that payment processing fees charged by our payment provider (currently ₦100) are non-refundable.
  • Once a consultation request has been approved and confirmed, it becomes non-refundable, as appointment time and clinical resources are reserved.
  • Where a consultation request is declined or cancelled due to provider availability or operational reasons, Vitas Health will make reasonable efforts
    to offer a rescheduled appointment.
  • Where a consultation request is declined prior to approval due to provider availability or operational reasons, no appointment is confirmed, and a full refund will be issued including any payment processing fees.
  • Where a consultation has already been approved and is subsequently cancelled due to provider availability or operational reasons, and rescheduling is not possible or is declined by the patient, the consultation will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued, including any payment processing fees.
  • Where a consultation request is declined or cancelled due to incomplete or inaccurate information provided during booking, Vitas Health may retain a non-refundable administrative fee of ₦500 to cover booking coordination and platform processing costs, in addition to nonrefundable payment processing fees.

8. Medical Disclaimer

Vitas Health does not provide emergency medical services. Medical guidance is provided by hospital-affiliated healthcare professionals and does not replace in- person diagnosis, examination or treatment where clinically required.

9. Limitation of Liability

Vitas Health is not responsible for:

  • Medical outcomes resulting from consultations
  • Clinical decisions made by healthcare providers
  • Delays or interruptions beyond reasonable control

 

Nothing in these Terms limits liability were prohibited by law.

10.Privacy and Date Protection

Your privacy is important to us. We process your personal data in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA), and other applicable data protection laws. By using the services, you consent to the collection, processing, storage, and sharing of your personal data as described in our privacy policy.

We collect personal data only for lawful purposes, including:

  • To provide and improve the services (contractual necessity)
  • With your consent for marketing, notifications, or search
  • To comply with legal or regulatory obligations
  • To protect the vital interest of users.

11.Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and materials on the Vitas Health platform are owned by or licensed to Vitas Health and may not be reproduced or used without permission.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the platform if these Terms are breached.

13.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
